Meet the B-Lab 2020 Cohort Fireside Chat with Dogfish Head Founders, Venture Pitches, & Virtual Networking
4:00 - 5:00 pm EST - Program
5:00 - 5:30 pm EST - Optional Networking
Join the Nelson Center for Entrepreneurship and our partner the Slater Technology Fund for a special event introducing the exciting student ventures of Breakthrough Lab (B-Lab) 2020.
We will open the evening with a fireside chat with our special guests, Mariah '93 and Sam Calagione, the co-founders of Dogfish Head, one of America’s first and most successful craft beer breweries. They will share recollections of some of their harrowing early entrepreneurial adventures, how they built a respected brand, created a winning corporate structure that endured rapid growth, and much more.
After the fireside chat, our 15 student ventures will then present 90-second elevator pitches! The ventures accepted into this year’s program have founders from Brown University, RISD, Amherst College, and Hofstra University who bring diverse perspectives, strengths, and interests to the cohort. They are bound together by their passion for creating meaningful solutions to important challenges in exciting markets and represent some of the most advanced ventures in the Brown entrepreneurial ecosystem.
Join us afterward from 5:00 - 5:30 pm EST for Zoom networking with the B-Lab founders! Our entrepreneurs always appreciate an opportunity to expand their professional and customer networks and would love to get to know you.
