Liberatory Letters, Language as Resistance
Race at the Center of the Humanities is a Mellon-funded event series organized by the partner schools of the Centering Race Consortium: Yale, Stanford, Brown, and the University of Chicago. The series is designed to deepen academic inquiry into race and the humanities through interdisciplinary discussion.

This roundtable conversation explores the confluence of race, ethnicity, linguistics, and culture in order to better understand the acts of cultural expression and resistance that characterize the practice and preservation of language.
